This Piano Cover Of System Of A Down’s “Chop Suey!” Is Simply Amazing: WATCH!
System Of A Down is one of the most famous bands in the hard rock and metal world and their music has gotten tons of airplay since the early 2000s.
So it is no surprise that lots of musicians and fans have been covering System Of A Down’s songs for several years now. Now the iconic lead single from their second album “Toxicity”, “Chop Suey"!” has been going viral online with a beautiful piano rendition. Russian pianist Gamazda recorded a cover of the song on the piano. The video was made available on Gamazda’s YouTube channel and fans are loving it.
On September 11, 2001, the world stopped due to the terrorist attacks in the United States, against the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York, and the Pentagon, near Washington. On the same date, System of a Down's second album, "Toxicity", topped the American charts.
The album was released a week earlier, on September 4, 2001, and got to the top spot on the top album charts, the Billboard 200, after having 220,000 copies sold in those 7 days alone. All in all, the album sold more than 2.5 million units in the United States and at least 12 million worldwide.
