Five Finger Death Punch just released a new video for the song “Living The Dream”

Five Finger Death punch have released a new video for the song “Living The Dream” and it touches some of today’s most discussed social issues.

The video was filmed last month in Los Angeles. Guitarist Zoltan Bathory, who came up with the idea for the video, explains in an article by Loudersound:

“America is a beautiful idea that draws immigrants like myself from all over the world to the promised land of equality, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This idea is now under siege and certain events are starting to remind me of the things many of us came here to escape... It’s not a ‘left against right’ problem but an evolutionary problem. The growing pains of a civilization that without the necessary spiritual enlightenment, arrived a bit early to a level of technology where everyone is connected. The good news is that now everyone has a voice. The bad news is that now everyone has a voice.”

Zoltan continues:  “So we are living in the manipulators' paradise, where liars and hypocrites run unscathed, the news are just opinions, politics are a blood sport, and facts are determined by consensus instead of the truth,” he continues. “We as artists, however, have a unique opportunity to portray and ridicule the absurd to prevent it from becoming reality.”

Jason Hook is no longer a member of Five Finger Death Punch

There had many rumors going around and now it’s confirmed. Jason Hook is no longer a member of Five Finger Death Punch. Jason posted a video on his Instagram page where he shares all the details regarding his exit.

In the past few months, band members have shared photos of activities related to the band that did not feature Hook. Jason Hook, nor members of the Five Finger Death Punch, have acknowledged his departure to this day.

In the video Hook also discusses that he has many other projects on the go and hopes to share them with everyone soon.

Jason Hook said: “I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to all of the fans of Five Finger Death Punch for all of the messages you have been sending me for you know what.” He added: “It’s kind of an issue… so I’m not saying anything”

Jason continued “When the time is right, there will be a mutually agreed upon press release between me and my guys and that’s it.” “I still love my band, the band's that I grew up with”

Earlier this year, Jason Hook had already been out of the band for some shows during Five Finger Death Punch’s European tour. At the time the band, posted:

“Hamburg Knuckleheads,

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our brother Jason Hook will not be able to perform tonight. He needs additional time for his recovery and must step back from the current tour in order to have the opportunity to do so. We discussed this as a band and Jason's well-being is our priority - health comes first.
It was Jason's express wish that we continue the tour so with Jason’s blessing we have invited our friend Andy James who has agreed to step in and finish the tour for Jason.
We are grateful for Andy stepping up and will continue to deliver the great show the fans deserve every night.
We've been having an incredible run with our friends in Megadeth and Bad Wolves so far, and the vibe of the tour has been amazing. We look forward to seeing all the German fans next and appreciate all of you joining us in wishing Jason a speedy recovery.

Five Finger Death Punch”

Five Finger Death Punch is set to release the vinyl version of “A Decade Of Destruction - Vol 2” on November 20, 2020. You can purchase it here.
