Linkin Park’s “Hybrid Theory” Returns To Billboard’s Top 5 Best Selling Albums In America
Linkin Park’s “Hybrid Theory” returns to number 2 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart.
“Hybrid Theory” is back to the top of the charts. The amazing album re-enters Billboard's Album Sales chart at No. 2, giving the album its highest placement since 2002 when it peaked at No. 2. on the Billboard 200 chart. “Hybrid Theory” saw a 2251 percent sales increase, with over 17000 copies sold in America last week.
Linkin Park have just released the 20th anniversary edition of the album which led to the huge spike in sales. The record features all the classic Linkin Park songs including the hits “One Step Closer”, “Crawling” and “In The End”.
The original album was released on October 24, 2000 and it features the following songs:

Linkin Park has assembled a massive collection of rarities for the new edition “Hybrid Theory: 20th Anniversary Edition”, which arrived on October 9, 2020.
“Hybrid Theory”, reputed as the most successful debut album of this century, is at the heart of this collection that brings together a huge number of unreleased demos from that time, rarities, B sides, DVDs (including over 95 minutes of footage) and other extras. In order to prepare this special edition, Linkin Park got involved with fans all over the world, asking for their contribution to gather images, photos and various memories from the band's early days. The reissue will be available in several formats (Super Deluxe Box, Vinyl Box Set, Deluxe CD and Digital). It will be the first collector's box ever of “Hybrid Theory”. Just last month, Mike Shinoda, Linkin Park’s co-founder and rapper/singer has canceled his daily live stream on Twitch yesterday (July 20th), in honor of Linkin Park’s former frontman and lead singer Chester Bennington.
July 20th marks the date of death of the band’s former lead singer Chester Bennington. Chester died at the age of 41 and Linkin Park have been on hiatus ever since.
Ever since the beginning of quarantine, Mike Shinoda has been doing live streams on Twitch where he interacts with fans and creates songs by request of the audience in many different styles and genres.
