Krist Novoselic Deletes Social Media after backlash for supporting Trump

Krist Novoselic erased his presence on social media after praising Donald Trump's speech regarding George Floyd's death and subsequent protests. The Nirvana bassist, who considered Trump's speech "strong and direct" and criticized the "leftist insurrection", also accused the media of showing images of a social crisis, at a time when people are already stressed due to Covid- 19. His statements earned him harsh criticism from Nirvana fans, prompting him to delete his official Facebook and Twitter accounts, where he was very active.

While Novoselic has apparently quit social media, fans have continued to post their disillusionment regarding his statement.
