Krist Novoselic: Trump is Strong and Direct!
After several days without commenting verbally on the subject, Donald Trump was on Twitter yesterday to talk about the death of African American George Floyd at the hands of the police and about the anti-racism protests that exploded a little across the states United. Krist Novoselic, former Nirvana bassist, liked what he heard.
"All Americans were justifiably ill and disgusted by the brutal death of George Floyd," said the American president before adding that Floyd "did not die in vain" and that justice will come, later criticizing the riots that have taken place in several cities in the country.
Novoselic later shared a message on his personal Facebook page, which has since been made private, defending Trump's speech, which he considered "strong and direct". Despite speaking out against the announced military intervention, the musician wrote "Wow !!! I know many of you can't stand him, however, Trump knocked it out the park with this speech". The musician also added that, during a car trip in Seattle, he saw no violent protests, accusing the media of showing images of a social crisis at a time when people are already stressed due to Covid-19. He also criticized the "leftist insurrection" and argued that "most Americans want peace in their communities and Trump said he would stop the violence".
