Tony Iommi Posts Heartfelt Tribute On The 50th Birthday Of Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid”
On September 18, 1970, British band Black Sabbath released their second studio album and perhaps could not even imagine the impact Paranoid would have on Rock history.
With 8 tracks and almost 42 minutes in length, the album became one of the most important of all time and definitely put the group's name among the music giants quickly, as the debut album, Black Sabbath, had come out in the same year.
Tony Iommi wrote on Facebook:
“I look back and am amazed how we released ‘Black Sabbath’ in February 1970 then toured, wrote, recorded and released ‘Paranoid’ only 7 months later! And these weren’t knock-off albums, they are both full of our classic tracks.
