Scott Stapp has revealed the news

2020 keeps delivering unexpected news. It may sound crazy, but it will happen: Scott Stapp will be Frank Sinatra in a movie.

Yes, the Creed frontman will play the iconic singer in Reagan , a biopic about former US President Ronald Reagan. Dennis Quaid will be Reagan in the new biopic.

Sinatra enters the story in a scene where the singer performs at the Ambassador Hotel's Coconut Grove club in Hollywood. At the time, the show served as an event to raise funds for Reagan's second campaign in California.

Scott Stapp said (according to Billboard):

“Sinatra in performance mode was an exercise in restraint. He had this steely, stylish swagger and his sheer presence commanded a room. I was excited to join the cast and blown away by the on-set attention to detail, style, and overall production.”

Reagan is set to be released next year.

Scott Philips shares info about a possible Creed comeback

In a recent interview Scott Phillips, the band’s drummer, shared some exciting news for the fans of the band. When asked about recent updates on their social media pages and the possibility of a comeback from Creed sooner than later, the drummer had the following to add:

"I didn't know that that had happened. That's interesting. I'm the worst when it comes to social media. I go through phases where I'm into it for about two days, and then I don't pick it up for about two months. But, that being said, there's always talk every now and then of the possibility of us getting back together and doing some stuff. We're all in a good spot right now where we feel like we have a good relationship amongst the four of us. Obviously, Mark Tremonti and Brian Marshall, and I are in the same band together. But Scott Stapp seems to be doing really, really well. There's some dialogue. We tend to check up on each other when it's birthdays and holidays, things like that. So, there has been some chatter, and there's no specific timetable for anything or no specific plans, but it's a possibility down the road. We'll just kind of let it play out naturally and see what happens."

Scott Stapp, the band’s lead singer had already previously mentioned that there was a possibility for Creed to comeback once everyone in the band agrees to do so.

Creed disbanded in 2004 after several years as a band and selling millions of records. The band had a brief comeback in 2009 and were together until 2012, when they started recording a new album, but abandoned the idea.
