Marilyn Manson has responded to abuse allegations against him made by actress Evan Rachel Wood

Marilyn Manson has responded to abuse allegations against him made by actress Evan Rachel Wood and four other women. Manson maintained a relationship with Evan between 2006 and 2010.

Evan Rachel Wood posted the following on her Instagram page:

"The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson," the Westworld actress claimed.

"He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission."

She added:

"I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives. I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent."

Manson responded to the allegations in his own Instagram post on Monday evening, saying:

"Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality."

"My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how - and why - others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth, " he added.

Meanwhile, Record label Loma Vista Recordings dropped Manson after Evan Rachel Wood, accused him of sexual abuse. The confirmation was made by a representative of the label, in a statement to the website of Variety magazine.

“In light of today’s disturbing allegations by Evan Rachel Wood and other women naming Marilyn Manson as their abuser, Loma Vista will cease to further promote his current album, effective immediately,” the statement reads. “Due to these concerning developments, we have also decided not to work with Marilyn Manson on any future projects.”

Later that night, Wood posted a letter on her Instagram written by California State Senator Susan Rubio to the director of the FBI, asking him to investigate the allegations against Manson.
