Beavis and Butt-Head Return with NEW EPISODES!

Beavis and Butt-Head return with new episodes

Beavis and Butt-Head return with two new seasons at Comedy Central.

The creator of the series, Mike Judge is resurrecting the classic cartoon as part of a new deal with Comedy Central. In addition to two new seasons of Beavis and Butt-Head, this new era of the animated cartoon will also include spin-offs and specials.

“We are thrilled to be working with Mike Judge and the great team at 3 Arts again as we double down on adult animation at Comedy Central,” Chris McCarthy, head of ViacomCBS’ entertainment and youth group, said in a statement. “Beavis and Butt-Head were a defining voice of a generation, and we can’t wait to watch as they navigate the treacherous waters of a world light-years from their own.”

Mike Judge jokingly added “It seemed like the time was right to get stupid again.”

In the new episodes, Beavis and Butt-Head will enter a "whole new Gen Z world". The themes from the new episodes are said to be relatable to both new fans who may haven’t watched the original series and old fans.

Beavis and Butt-Head originally launched as shorts between music videos on MTV in 1992 before being turned into a series one year later.

The show ran between 25 and 50 original episodes a year from 1997 before being revived for an eighth season in 2011. In 1996, a feature film - Beavis and Butt-Head Do America - was released and was a huge commercial success.

Beavis and Butt-Head is known to have inspired the creators of South Park.
