August Burns Red just shared an outstanding cover of a classic System Of A Down song

System Of A Down is one of the most famous bands in the hard rock and metal world and their music has gotten tons of airplay since the early 2000s.

So it is no surprise that lots of musicians and fans have been covering System Of A Down’s songs for several years now. Now the iconic lead single from their second album “Toxicity”, “Chop Suey"!” has been covered by August Burns Red.

On Saturday, 14 November, 2020 metalcore band August Burns Red celebrated 15 years since release of their debut studio album “Thrill Seeker” with a special livestream performance of the full recording at Rock Lititz Studio near Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Now the band is back with a energetic cover of the late 2000s metal anthem.

On September 11, 2001, the world stopped due to the terrorist attacks in the United States, against the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York, and the Pentagon, near Washington. On the same date, System of a Down's second album, "Toxicity", topped the American charts.

The album was released a week earlier, on September 4, 2001, and got to the top spot on the top album charts, the Billboard 200, after having 220,000 copies sold in those 7 days alone. All in all, the album sold more than 2.5 million units in the United States and at least 12 million worldwide.
